How to strengthen sheet metal
WebAdding radius bends will strengthen sheet metal. Really any solid bend is going to add rigidity to thin gauge metals. As far as a resource to go off of I don't really have anything for you to look at, just my experiences from work. The more gradual the bend the more stress it should be able to take before it fails. Does it have to be tube steel?
